February Group Challenge
For the past month, I’ve been doing something new in my own health journey.
I’ve been tracking my blood sugar.
I’ve never been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes but I realized there was a level of clarity I was missing.
I already thought I was doing “the right things.” I typically stop eating around 6 or 7 p.m. because I understand that as the sun goes down, our insulin sensitivity goes down too. And as someone actively healing insulin resistance, I wanted to honor that rhythm.
But when I started actually tracking my glucose, I learned something surprising.
For my body, that wasn’t enough.
To wake up with a fasting glucose in a healthy range, I needed to stop eating closer to 3:30 in the afternoon. What fascinated me was that my blood sugar readings during the day looked great. This wasn’t about daytime food choices. It was about overnight insulin sensitivity and how my body processes glucose while I sleep.
That kind of insight is powerful.
And it’s something you can’t guess your way into.
Here’s why this matters so much:
Blood sugar isn’t just about diabetes. It is deeply connected to nearly every system in the body, including:
• Hormone balance
• Insulin resistance
• PCOS and fertility challenges
• High blood pressure
• Fatty liver disease
• Obesity and metabolic dysfunction
• Type 2 diabetes
• Pancreatic stress and pancreatitis
• Cognitive decline, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
Blood sugar is not a “one-day problem.”
It’s a long-term health conversation.
And most people are having it far too late.
That’s why I’m hosting the Blood Sugar Bootcamp this February.
This is not about fear.
This is about awareness.
You do not need a diagnosis to track your blood sugar. You simply need curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body.
Throughout the month of February, we’ll focus on:
• Understanding how your body responds to different foods
• Learning what supports your personal insulin sensitivity
• Gaining clarity instead of guessing
• Making gentle, informed adjustments as awareness grows
All that’s required is a glucose monitor (Get Nelly’s recommendation here). You are not required to use any specific brand. The goal isn’t perfection.
• Open to anyone in the Essential Tier
• Stewardship Tier members will also receive weekly group coaching calls to help fine-tune what’s coming up for them week by week
This is an invitation to partner with your body instead of fighting it.
To replace confusion with clarity.
And to steward your health with wisdom and grace.
If this stirred something in you, I’d love to walk this journey with you. To jump in, simply register via the event link displayed in the app.
With care,
Nelly
